Understanding Cancer
How often do people get cancer?
1 minute
Cancer is uncontrollable cell multiplication from DNA variation. DNA is a piece of genetic information, and when it is altered, it can cause the mutated cells to multiply.
Cancer has a number of characteristics.
Cancer cells multiply much faster than normal cells.
They also grow larger and invade the surrounding tissue or metastasize to distant organs through blood or lymph circulation.
Cancer can even create its own blood vessels to supply itself with oxygen and nutrients.
